Awards and nomination terms
The public rules that protect the integrity of AHHS nominations and recognition.
Nomination
A nomination begins review. It does not promise an award.
Anyone submitting a nomination should provide accurate basic information and a genuine relationship or basis for knowing about the nominee’s contribution. AHHS may contact the nominator or nominee to request clarification, supporting information or evidence.
A submitted nomination may be screened, found ineligible, held for further review, shortlisted, selected or not selected. Submission alone does not create an entitlement to recognition.
Review principles
Impact, integrity, consistency, leadership and service.
AHHS review considers the substance and credibility of humanitarian or community contribution. The team may request further information before reaching an outcome and may decline information that cannot reasonably be verified.
Published award categories, review stages and edition-specific deadlines may be updated before a nomination window opens. The current website information for an announced edition takes precedence over older promotional material.
Integrity
Recognition cannot be bought through registration or a package.
Payment for event registration, hospitality, travel or a participation experience does not guarantee nomination eligibility, selection or an AHHS honor. Any package benefit referring to award presentation applies only where recognition has separately been approved through the relevant Honors process.
AHHS may withdraw or revisit a recognition decision where material information was misrepresented, where eligibility requirements are not met or where credible information raises a serious integrity concern.
